SysBack is a simple but powerful backup software solution for AIX, that creates a backup for AIX of your entire system, or a subset of your system, as well as the data files and databases that you specify.

The backup can be held on a network share, on a tape device, a library, on a standalone NAS device or integrated with Spectrum Protect(TSM). The software will also provide quick recovery for AIX of the operating system in the event of system failure or human error.

SysBack also provides the ability to install one system installation image to another system with either identical or different hardware configurations. SysBack allows you to back up data on your system to any backup location attached to your computer or network. You can then examine the content of the backup and restore any desired files or directories, with a variety of flexible pre-configured backup methods.
