BMR Suite 9.2

Today we are pleased to be releasing  a new version of our BMR Suite 9.2 to production. The suite consists of ABMR, CBMR,CoBMR, NBMR and TBMR.

Each 9.2 BMR product is immediately available as a separate download from the Cristie Licensing portal download area.

Common to all BMR products

  • Uninstalling Windows products standalone would sometimes trigger a reboot warning.
  • Config generation (XBMRCFG) is now faster.
  • Logging improvements.
  • Post recovery network changes are now supported for Ubuntu systems.
  • GUI fixes to Windows recovery environments.

ABMR


  • Now supports Dell EMC Avamar clients in the range version 19.1 to 19.4 inclusive.
  • Fixed an issue where the recovery would sometimes appear stuck on the “Successfully connected to backup server” stage.

CBMR


  • Now supports IBM Spectrum Protect clients in the range version 7.1.1 to 8.1.11 inclusive. Version 8.1.11 of the client is now included in both the WinPE5 and WinPE10 DR environments. Server versions supported are 7.1.1 to 8.1.11.
  • Windows installation on Windows 10 would assign OEM/Recovery partition permanent drive letters.

CoBMR


  • CoBMR Windows now supports block based restores
  • Silent install would sometimes fail.
  • Dissimilar Hardware stage would sometimes fail for Windows 7 recoveries.
  • Linux recoveries would sometimes report success whilst still running.

NBMR


  • Now supports Dell EMC NetWorker client/server version up to 19.1.1.0/19.4 respectively.
  • Backups run through the NW client would sometimes fail with registry errors.

TBMR


  • Now supports IBM Spectrum Protect clients in the range version 7.1.1 to 8.1.11 inclusive. Version 8.1.11 of the client is now included in both the WinPE5 and WinPE10 DR environments. Server versions supported are 7.1.1 to 8.1.11.
  • Fixed EFI -> MBR conversion for Linux systems.

Note: These BMR products are compatible with the Cristie VA release 4.1 and you will see an update available soon.
