BMR Suite 9.5.1

Today we are pleased to be releasing  a new version of our BMR Suite 9.5.1 for Windows & Linux (Intel & PPC) to production. The suite consists of ABMR, CBMR, CoBMR, NBMR, RBMR and TBMR.

Each product is immediately available as a separate download from the Cristie Licensing portal download area.

Common to all BMR products

  • Windows products will now scan your system for changes and report to the VA. High changes could be the result of ransomware. Configure the VA to alert you of these changes.
  • 2008R2 restores would sometimes boot without DHCP if specified during recovery.
  • EFI -> BIOS conversion would take place without informing the user in the restore wizard.
  • Improved abort times during recovery process.
  • Enhanced support for systems with an X: drive.
  • MBR -> GPT conversion would fail if the system has BOOT & SYSTEM on the same partition.
  • EFI -> MBR conversion would fail when recovering to a smaller target disk.
  • BMRCFG speed enhancements.
  • Recovery ISO would sometimes try to communicate on a NIC that was disabled.
  • SELinux contexts could sometimes appear on files/dirs.
  • Improved resolution in recovery environment for Linux.
  • Custom Linux ISOs (Created through the VA) would sometimes revert to DHCP shortly after boot.
  • Improved multipath support.
  • Other minor bug fixes and improvements.

ABMR


  • DataDomain support. (Linux)

CBMR


  • CBMR application would fail to run with an expired rental license with a blank error message. (Windows)
  • Mounting network shares through the CBMR automatic recovery wizard would sometimes fail. (Linux)

CoBMR


  • Multi factor authentication support for recovery. (Windows & Linux)
  • CoBMR restores would sometimes sit at 100% without updating to finished status. (Linux)
  • CoBMR restores would sometimes fail if the server was running in DOD mode. (Linux)

NBMR


  • NetWorker logs would not be copied once a recovery was complete. (Linux)
  • DataDomain support. (Linux)

RBMR


  • RBMR is now available for Linux on Power.
  • Uninstall would fail if the Rubrik client was uninstalled first. (Windows)
  • RBMR recoveries would not inform the user if the restore process was queued. (Windows & Linux)
  • The RBS service would sometimes be removed when creating an ISO with CRISP. (Windows)
  • Improved btrfs support. (Linux)

TBMR


  • Upgraded TSM client in recovery environment to 8.1.17. (Linux)
